How to Make Cinnamon Twists

— Ingredients —

crescent roll dough
1 can crescent roll dough
butter
3 tbsp butter
(melted)
sugar
2 tbsp sugar
cinnamon
1 tsp cinnamon
powdered sugar
3/4 cup powdered sugar
milk
1 tbsp milk
vanilla
1 tbsp vanilla

— Instructions —

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. Separate crescent dough into rectangles. Seal the diagonal line running through each rectangle.
  3. Spread melted butter on half of the rectangles.
  4. In a small bowl, combine cinnamon with sugar. Spread this mixture over the melted butter.
  5. Place each rectangle that has not been spread with butter on top of the cinnamon-topped dough rectangles.
  6. Cut each pair of dough rectangles into long and moderately thin slices.
  7. Twist each slice several times, and place on a greased baking sheet.
  8. Bake until golden (about 8 minutes).
  9. When cool, combine powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make icing. Spoon icing on top of twists and enjoy.
