This recipe is inspired by one of the drinks served in the lobby while Hamilton plays on Broadway. They used Beefeater gin from London in the original recipe, and Lin-Manuel Miranda was a fan.

How to Make Founders' Fizz

— Ingredients —

gin
1.5 oz. gin
simple syrup
1 oz. simple syrup
lime juice
1 splash lime juice
ice cubes
ice cubes
seltzer
seltzer

— Instructions —

  1. Combine all but seltzer in a cocktail shaker.
  2. Cover, and shake.
  3. Strain into a highball glass filled with ice, and top with seltzer.
