How to Make The Exploding Meatball Sub

— Ingredients —

marinara sauce
1 cup 237 ml marinara sauce
chicken broth
1/4 cup 59 ml chicken broth
meatballs
meatballs
(recipe here)
hoagie bread rolls
4 4 hoagie bread rolls
basil
basil
(as desired)
mozzarella
mozzarella
(as desired)

— Instructions —

  1. Heat the sauce and broth in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the cooked meatballs and simmer (about 5 minutes).
  3. Spread a layer of sauce on each cut open roll.
  4. Top with meatballs, another healthy layer of sauce, cheese, and herbs.
  5. Space hoagie rolls apart in a baking sheet, and toast in the preheated oven just enough for the cheese to melt (about 5 minutes).
  6. Enjoy your well-deserved meatball sub (but try not to spill marinara sauce on your suit).
