Meatloaf is Finn's favorite food! This is a doggy-friendly recipe just in case you have your own Jake to go on adventures with.

If you don't need a dog-friendly recipe and are just looking for a flavorful meatloaf, add 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire Sauce and a pinch each of black pepper, garlic powder, and salt to the loaf mixture before baking.

How to Make Finn's Meatloaf

— Ingredients —

lean ground beef
1 lb. lean ground beef
rolled oats
2/3 cup rolled oats
eggs
2 eggs
pumpkin puree
3 tbsp pumpkin puree
carrots
2 carrots
chicken broth
1/2 cup chicken broth
(low-sodium)
sage powder
1 tsp sage powder
meatloaf topping
meatloaf topping
(optional)

— Instructions —

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (177 degrees C). Grate carrots.
  2. In a medium bowl, use your hands to combine all ingredients (except optional topping).
  3. Shape into loaf, and transfer mixture to a prepared pan.
  4. Optional (humans only!): Smooth, and pour topping over the loaf.
  5. Bake until center is no longer pink (about 1 hour).
  6. Remove from oven and allow to cool.

How to Make Meatloaf Topping (for humans only - not for dogs!)

— Ingredients —

brown sugar
3 tbsp brown sugar
mustard
2 tbsp mustard
(prepared)
barbecue sauce
1/4 cup barbecue sauce

— Instructions —

  1. Mix all ingredients in small bowl. Set aside.
