How to Make Flaky Pie Crust

— Ingredients —

flour
2 1/2 cups 128 g flour
granulated sugar
2 tbsp 25 g granulated sugar
salt
1/2 tsp 2.8 g salt
butter
1/2 cup 115 g butter
(cold)
water
1/2 cup 118 ml water
(cold)

— Instructions —

  1. In a medium bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.
  2. Cut in butter, and toss or press with a fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Drizzle water over the mixture and knead until incorporated, without overworking the dough.
